Rob's '43 GPW
This is what it looked like when I got it....
She's torn apart and in the process of being restored to "motor pool" quality...I hope to have it done later this year, because I know Russ is anxious to ride!

GPW Progress
Rob,
Looks like a diamond in the rough and a fun project. Please keep us updated with some progress photos and any tips-surprises that you discover during the restoration. Think about how you will celebrate its completion!

Re: Rob's '43 GPW
Thanks, guys!
Stephen...I've got some newer pics to post of my progress; I've actually already rebuilt the front end, the braking system, and mounted my period-correct tires since those pics above were taken...I'll upload them as soon as I can locate them on my PC!
Russ...it was on the back-burner for a while, but now that it's warming up outdoors, I'm gonna jump on it this year with a vengeance!
And yeah, Zylen has short hair and baggy jeans, way back then! Kids!

Re: Rob's '43 GPW
This could be The Year Of The Jeep, boys and girls.....I'm tooling up to start working on it again, and hopefully have it done by the end of the year, if possible!
Stay tuned for pics of more progress!
