These were some color photos that we recently got from the son of a WWII Veteran who was inducted at Blading and went through IRTC there in 1944. These are the first color photos I have seen of Blanding. They are pretty cool. Blanding had more green grass than I thought.

Any idea who this guy is?

Rob,

Do not know the LT's name, but does appear to be a 1LT. He is more than likely an training officer with the IRTC.

The other picture is down town St. Augustine just out of the picture to the right is the bridge of Lions.

Yes I was very surprised when I opened the pictures. These are the first and so far only color photos from Blanding.

Yeah...I can see the St. Augustine connection now! I wonder if that intersection has changed much? I'd like to take a comparison shot sometime... Wink
